During this hands-on experience, you'll be guided by an experienced professional who will explain what the equipment is in the studio and how to work safely in a challenging environment. You'll learn the basics of working with hot glass and will become familiar with the tools and equipment, before moving on to gathering glass from the furnace, shaping it and applying colour. Once you've mastered these basic techniques, you'll go on to make a solid piece and then have a go at glassblowing. Most people make two blown pieces, including a bauble and a colourful vase or bowl. The seven hour class is for six people, with two tutors.
