This wonderful poster is from the archive of Oakland Museum in California and was one of the first of many protest posters of the ‘long 1960’s’ to use the butterfly as a symbol for freedom. Originally used to advocate for prison reform, the message is just as relevant today and is a universal truth. A small symbol for the hope of change.
