Liberty Fabrics Ianthe Crepe de Chine | Regarded as liberty's most iconic art nouveau design, ianthe was originally created as a wallpaper layout by french artist rene beauclair around 1902 before being printed for liberty in 1967. Today, it stands as one of liberty's most renowned designs, exemplifying french art nouveau with its intricately stylised flowers arranged in a swirling, harmonious pattern. Perfumer nicholas bonneville celebrated this design, creating a deep, irreverent oud scent with the aroma of the honeyed mimosa and musky patchouli warming the evening sky under a canopy of cedar and agarwood. Crepe de chine is one of the best silk bases for daytime wear it's effortlessly luxe, with a lightweight drape that's made more durable by its matte, slightly rough surface.
