70cl / 50% / Old Malt Cask - An 18-year-old Glen Moray single cask release from the independent bottler Hunter Laing, as part of their Old Malt Cask line. Matured in a refill barrel, which allows for a more delicate interaction with the wood so that the character of the spirit can be appreciated without undue influence. Glen Moray is sometimes underrated compared to its Speyside neighbours; this expression makes a fine corrective. Notes of strawberries, fresh flowers, fudge, ginger, marzipan and milk chocolate.
