Lowe Rust Primer Dove Grey 3 Litre is a versatile primer that can be used on both old and new metal surfaces. It can be applied directly to rust and binds to the surface, chemically reacting with any rust it comes into contact with to neutralise it and prevent further corrosion. A second coat acts as a barrier, providing additional protection against future rusting. Minimal surface preparation is required, with only the removal of loose and flaky material necessary. It can be used on damp or even wet surfaces, and no over-coating is necessary. However, it makes an excellent base for most standard paints if over-coating is required.
