It works on bare wood, previously stained surfaces, or sealed timber, giving you flexibility depending on the project at hand. More than one use: Beyond the classic liming effect, this wax can also be used to soften vivid t colours, shifting them towards a more pastel tone. For a more durable finished result, Briwax recommends overcoating with a clear BRIWAX furniture wax once the liming wax has dried. Application and drying: Apply with a brush or lint-free cloth at an ambient temperature of 15-20°C. The wax dries in approximately 15 minutes under good conditions, with a re-coat time of 15 minutes. On some open-grained woods such as oak, opening the grain first with a wire brush will give a deeper, more defined white finish.
